Gregory T. Nichols, ESQ.

Gregory T. Nichols, Esq. is Of Counsel with The Nichols Law Group.  He has over 43 years of combined experience in the public and private sectors.  Mr. Nichols is a Graduate of John Carroll University (1968) graduating with a B.A. in English and a double minor in history/philosophy.  He received his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law (1974).  Following his graduation from Duquesne, Mr. Nichols served as Law Clerk (1974-1975) for the Honorable Gilfert Mihalich, Court of Common Pleas, Westmoreland County.  He then worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania assigned to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (1975-1980).  Following his career with the Attorney General, he established and has since operated a general civil practice counselling clients on a broad range of legal matters including business law, civil litigation, real estate, corporate, and estate matters with a particular focus on all aspects of liquor law.  Mr. Nichols is recognized as one of the foremost liquor attorneys in Pennsylvania.  Throughout his career he has represented all manner of clients in the alcoholic beverage industry including restaurants, breweries, wineries, brew pubs, distilleries, public venues, concert halls, theatres, race tracks, importers, gas stations and grocery stores. 

 

Mr. Nichols is Admitted to the Supreme Court of PA (1974); the U.S. Supreme Court (1977); and is a member in good standing of the Westmoreland County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Matthew M. Nichols, ESQ.

Matthew received his B.A. from the Pennsylvania State University, State College Campus (1998) and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (2001).  He is the managing partner of The Nichols Law Group.  Matthew focuses his practice on transaction law with primary areas of practice including all aspects of liquor law, real estate, business, estate planning and administration, construction, finance, contract law, oil and gas, and controlled substance law.   In practice, Matthew regularly assists individuals and companies with numerous and diverse legal issues across a wide range of industries and regularly serves as outside counsel to lenders, businesses, and entrepreneurs. 

Mr. Nichols is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New York and is active in both States.  He is a member of the Pennsylvania State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.  Prior to forming the Nichols Law Group, Attorney Nichols was a partner in a small law firm based in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.  Prior to returning to Pennsylvania, Mr. Nichols worked for a large full service law firm based in New York City, Toronto, and Beijing.  He regularly speaks on topics of business and real estate law and has authored or co-authored publications on real estate, lending, oil and gas, and business matters in both New York and Pennsylvania.   

Attorney Nichols is also a licensed title agent in Pennsylvania and owns/operates real estate settlement companies based in Allentown and Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

Christopher Nichols, ESQ.

Christopher received his B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University, University Park  (1996) and his J.D. from Duquesne University (1999).  Christopher focuses his practice on criminal defense cases including traffic offenses and DUIs.  He is well versed and handles PennDot and license suspension issues, landlord / tenants cases, estates and estate planning and liquor license cases.  

Mr. Nichols was the Westmoreland County Assistant District Attorney from 2000 to 2006.  He has been the Assistant County Solicitor for Westmoreland County since 2006.  Prior to joining The Nichols Law Group in 2016 he had his own private practice locally which he started in 2006.  He is a member of the Westmoreland County Bar Association as well as the Pennsylvania Bar Association.  

 

Christopher is Admitted to  both the PA Supreme Court as well as the U.S. District Court - W.D.P.A.
